Who
Everyone can benefit from counseling. Therapy is meant to provide a safe and supportive space to process emotions, heal from trauma, gain clarity and understanding about ourselves and the world we live in while learning how to manage and cope with life’s difficulties and challenges.
When
The length of time spent in therapy differs from person to person and with each individual’s unique reason for seeking counseling. I believe we benefit most from consistent weekly or biweekly meetings for several months at a time. Therapy is not a quick fix and long term changes and benefits do not happen overnight. Many of my clients are long term and our work together focuses on processing and healing from trauma that has accumulated throughout the lifespan.
How
I am always open to meeting and connecting with potential new clients. The relationship between client and therapist is one of the most important factors taken into consideration when determining the efficacy of therapy. I am passionate about making sure my clients feel like we are a good fit.
